About Sevasadan Girls Hostel

Originally the hostel was named as सेवासदन वसतिगृह. It was started for widows and deserted women, Students coming from far and near about Pune were accommodated in the hostel. The students were given kitchen duties for a few hours in a day and there were no special cooks were engaged. This inculcated the principle of self-help amongst students and that is how many women in difficulty, educated themselves and became self-reliant by becoming nurse, primary teachers etc.

Now as the time changed, the occupancy need has changed too. Girls’ students from all over the India come to Pune for the sake of education or for work. Safe and secured place in the heart of the city was a need of an hour. Hence in 2023, hostel building of Pune Sevasadan Society was refurbished with current needs.

Taking into consideration “work from home “culture, the rooms of hostel are designed to maintain the peace and privacy. 24 hours, Uninterrupted internet connection is provided. Safety and security are taken care by 24 hr security guards and CCTV. The premises, the rooms are extremely clean.

To give relaxation from study or work, Board games like chess, playing cards, Carrom board are arranged in common sit out areas.
Tea/Coffee, dry snacks are provided on paid basis. Clean and Hygiene dining hall is available, where girls can have their food. The hostel is well equipped with facilities as washing machine, microwave oven, Iron, purified drinking water.
For more homely atmosphere, Cultural events, festivals are celebrated throughout the year.
